Index Table
By default, Archmage exports only the first worksheet in an Excel file.
To export multiple sheets, set cell A1 to **. The first worksheet then functions as an index table to specify which worksheets in the file to export along with their settings.
| ** | Condition | Export Name | Trim Prefix | Trim Suffix | Notes |
| sheet1 | demo1 | Exports as demo1 | |||
| demo2 | v1.2 | Exports as demo2 | |||
| demo3@beta | xflags=c | @beta | Exports as demo3 | ||
| item-* | Matches all item sheets | ||||
| x-* | x- | x-hero exports as hero | |||
| #TODO |
The table layout is as follows:
- A1, the top-left cell, contains the
**marker. - Row 1 defines the column headers.
- Column A, the
**column, defines worksheet selectors: literal sheet names (e.g.,demo2) or wildcard patterns (e.g.,item-*). - Remaining columns configure export settings for the matched worksheet(s).
Table Columns
Section titled “Table Columns”The following table describes each column’s specification in detail.
| Column | Spec |
|---|---|
** |
Worksheet selector: a worksheet name or wildcard pattern. |
| Condition | Determines whether to activate a row. Uses the same evaluation logic as the condition type. An empty condition defaults to true; when it evaluates to false, the row is skipped. Multiple condition columns are allowed. |
| Export Name | Export name without file extension. When blank, derived from the worksheet name; when filled, Trim Prefix and Trim Suffix must stay blank. |
| Trim Prefix | Strips the specified prefix from the worksheet name. |
| Trim Suffix | Strips the specified suffix from the worksheet name. |
| Notes | Free-form comments with no functional effect. |
Wildcard Patterns
Section titled “Wildcard Patterns”The ** column accepts wildcard patterns to match several worksheets at once:
*matches any run of characters.?matches a single character.
For example, item-* matches every worksheet whose name starts with item-; * matches all worksheets except the first.
Skipping
Section titled “Skipping”A leading # skips rows, columns, and worksheets as well. See The Hash #.
